Some motor home tips we have learned

Go with a Hertz premium motor home. It is WAAAAAY better than a Maui and half the price! Can free camp with everything but the microwave and TV

Get one of these fruit tray boxes from a supermarket. Makes an excellent, sturdy and water resistant ‘tray’ for carrying to and from BBQ area

An electric frypan plugged into the outside of the van makes for a much better option than carrying a BBQ and is nice when you want to avoid the peopled BBQ areas

Place aluminum foil or baking paper on BBQ (like this) to make cleanup easier. If windy, put a little oil down first to help it stay in place

Get Pine-O-Cleen wipes. Makes for easy clean up of BBQ or (electric frypan prior to washing it inside) and is great for wiping down surfaces inside or picnic tables outside

Bring string for makeshift clothesline inside. With heater on, clothes will mostly dry overnight!

Cheap lightweight plastic containers (eg Glad) and zip lock bags of a few different sizes make for easy storage of prepped-ahead fruit, salads, and veggies (we took these on the track).
