Morning snugglers

At the current Tyler home

In the shearing shed

Mr (Dale) Tyler gave us some fleece as a souvenir 🙂

Pink and grey gallahs (and some whites)

Flying out of Korrelocking Nature Reserve.

Afghan melon

Introduced from Afghanistan along with camels long ago. Camels like these bitter melons, but if cows or horses eat them they ‘go silly’ (horses are unpredictable to ride and cows are uncooperative for milking and the flavor of their milk changes). Interesting!

Bending down to look at a secret water hole

Where Aboriginal people would get their water from. It is a small  natural well fed by run-off from the huge rock and used to have a single flat rock that covered it so that it didn’t evaporate. Now several smaller overlapping rocks cover it.

Where the girls’ Great-Great Grandmother’s home used to be (we tried looking for the stumps)

We didn’t find stumps but Mr Tyler (who gave us a grand tour of not just Symonds Yat but some of their other farms also which together make up an area about the size of Manila, Makati and Pasig!) did find some snake skins for the girls!

NB- in the Phils, those three cities have a population of around 3 million people!
