Leaving Narrogin

Actually first there was emptying the rubbish, the toilet cassette, the grey water tank, and the sand that had accumulated around the entrance. And then we stopped 5 mins down the road for groceries, a play on the swings, a snack, and then the loo. All of that took about one hour. Nothing happens quickly with three small girlies ๐Ÿ™‚

Jonathon at his very favorite place on the farm with his very favorite people :-)

Since we had no external power for the motorhome we decided not to stay a second night as we had planned and we left with the rest of the extended family, eating dinner in Williams at a roadhouse and then arriving very much in the dark to a caravan park in Narrogin. We will try for a fairly early start tomorrow as we have a longish drive ahead of us. Goodnight!

Siblings :-)

All the cousins on the Passmore side!

These kiddos had a lovely time together. It was beautiful to see how kind and attentive Beth, Jared, Elliot and Ryley are with the younger cousins.

The Cottage

Heather and Phillip (Grandpa and Grandma) came down ahead of anyone ย else and cleaned up the cottage, and then stayed after we all left to clean it up again also. They did much to help make today very special.

Marshmallows on the campfire

We roasted Starburst lollies too… and cooked scones in the coals also- very smokey-flavored (!) At lunchtime the sausages were cooked on the fire as well. Camp fires are great!

Dad’s old bike!

It was fun to have him point out familiar things and places… like the skull bone of a ram that he explained his dog Pasha chewed on many visits to the farm! There were MANY sheep bones around the paddocks and the kids had so much fun finding them. Jemima was especially impressed to collect sheep teeth (and put them in her pocket for her mother to discover when she did the washing!) ๐Ÿ™‚

The Farm!

One of Jonathon’s very favorite places in the world.

We arrived at the exact same time as the Mills family did- they came from Perth. It was so special to spend the night at the farm with them and wake up to a new day with them today.

Super fresh
(On good authority)

Apple picking! (Donnybrook)

Another ‘first time’ experience. It is so special to eat an apple straight off a tree! These are Pink Ladies.
